Interview – Elodie Sè

1- Hello Elodie, thank you for having us. How about we start with the introductions?

Good morning ! My name is Sè Elodie, known as Eloniniie, which is my name as a writer. I have a Masters in Financial Engineering, and I am passionate about writing. I wrote a book called “ELLES…”, in electronic version, which is on the reading and writing application Wattpad.

2- Why writing? What do you like about it the most?

Why writing? I cannot explain it. My fingers are made for the keyboard, and the keyboard for my fingers. My mind for travel, and travel for my mind.

What I enjoy the most is creating a world and taking those who wish to visit it on a journey. I like to let my characters express their own feelings, without ever intervening.

I do not write to escape, and even less when I am in a particular situation. I can be sad and write a chapter that talks about joy, like being happy and write a chapter that talks about sadness. I don’t write out of emotion, I like when my imagination is active.

3- Where do you find inspiration when you write? And how do you assess yourself?

It is the Holy Spirit who inspires me (note: Elodie is a Christian). And it was he who gave me this talent that I have had since I was little, but that I have been showing off to everyone for a number of years.

I just have to open my computer, touch my keyboard, and I’m gone, you lost me (laughs). I say it’s the Holy Spirit who inspires me, because I can start writing a scene, and realize when I put the end, that it has completely changed and is much better.

Afterwards, I love reading, so I draw some of my inspirations from there.

4- To talk about the book, what literary genre is it?

My work is currently written in a theatrical genre with a romantic drama form. This is called “dramaturgy”. But I think to bring it out in the genre of a novel.

5- Can you give us some details on the themes covered, and why not a little bit of plot?

I wanted to clarify already that I am a writer of fictional works. I don’t write about facts that happen in society, although these facts are found in some of my scenes. I only rely on my imagination to write.

Some themes, I’m not going to say, were covered in depth but came up in my work, such as depression and emotional dependence, which affected two of my main characters.

A bit of intrigue? With pleasure.

Best friends for life and death, they will not come out unscathed. Karel, a haughty girl, taking everything for granted, even the moon under the sky.

Malika, a war wounded in love, and eternal pessimist.

Elvira, born with an artichoke heart, enjoys her romantic relationships, even if suffering is part of it.

And finally, Melvina, the one and only. The tortured innocent of yesteryear, now the bloodthirsty. Sharp, is its quirk, the terror of the cities and the cartels around. His goal: To take revenge on his attackers, until death, until his death. And whoever dares to oppose her, will lose his life. Best friends including.

These young girls had taken care to establish a charter, clauses to be respected. Despite their stories being so different from each other, no secrets should be hidden, and nothing should separate them. Would they respect these clauses and live a normal life?

– The rules are set! We all agree. Girls… No waivers please. We will remain best friends forever…
– To death.

6- Do you already have good feedback on this work? What comes up most often?

Yes, and it’s still impressive to know that you manage to make those who read your work travel so much, and even make them emotional. I am amazed when I see some, discuss my book, dissect it, interpret word for word what I write to know the end of the story, it touches me.

“You have an extraordinary pen” “You make us travel” to name a few. And I thank them very much, for always being present, and for advising me as a booster throughout this adventure.

7- Do you plan to approach a publishing house soon to try to popularize your work?

Publishing house or self-publishing, yes I intend to release my work in paper format. This is one of my projects, and I can’t wait for it to see the light of day!

8- Are you on your first work? Are you planning any more? And if so, when?

Yes I am at my first published work. Others are already underway, but hidden from the public. I am already being asked when the next book will be released. All I can say is get ready to take off again!

9- A final word?

I would particularly like to thank Doctor Emmanuel Mian, for giving me this opportunity to talk about my work and me, in the literary section on his Libula site.
